Allison Lingren Selected as Texas All-State Musician 2011

Allison Lingren, a member of the Liberty Hill High School Band will perform at the Texas All-State in San Antonio, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio as part of the 2011 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/ Convention.

She was chosen for this honor through a competitive process held this year across the state at District, Region and Area levels. Allison plays trombone at school under the direction of John Perrin who is a member of the Texas Association of Texas Music Educators Associations, a 10,000+ member organization headquartered in Austin.  This is Allison's third time to perform as a member of a TMEA All-State organization.

Since this is Allison's third year to go to state, she will be presented with an ATSSB Three-Year All-State Band Scholarship of $500 at the concert on Feb. 12.

Allison is the daughter of Mike and Robin Lingren.

Megan Dawson Selected for the

National FFA Band

2010

 Megan Dawson, a Senior band student  at Liberty Hill High School has been selected to play French horn for the National FFA Band in Indianapolis, IN beginning Saturday October 16.

The National FFA Conference has events scheduled all week with the band performing on Friday, October 22.

The Liberty Hill Band & Band Boosters are very proud of Megan and her accomplishments and wish her the best of luck this week!
